Esta mañana, el alcalde de A Coruña, Xulio Ferreiro, acompañado del rector de la UDC, Julio Abalde, y el vicerrector de Política Científica, Investigación y Transferencia, Salvador Naya, realizó una visita institucional al CITIC.
El director del CITIC, Manuel F. González Penedo, tuvo la ocasión de transmitirle al alcalde la labor investigadora en el ámbito de las TIC realizada en el centro y las acciones de transferencia de los resultados de esta actividad investigadora al sector productivo.
En la primera parte de la visita, el alcalde pudo conocer las instalaciones del edificio CITIC 2, donde están ubicadas empresas estratégicas del sector TIC con las que el CITIC colabora y desarrolla contratos de I+D.
Posteriormente, el alcalde visitó el laboratorio de usabilidad del centro, donde mostró gran interés por el funcionamiento de esta plataforma de observación del uso de nuevas tecnologías en el hogar digital conectado.
