Representantes del CITIC asistieron a la presentación de la Estrategia de Especialización Inteligente de Galicia (RIS3) que guiará la política de I+D+i en el periodo 2014-2020 y que movilizará más de 1.600 millones de euros de capital público y personal. En su elaboración el CITIC fue parte activa junto a otros agentes de investigación gallegos.
En este acto participaron el comisario europeo de Política Regional, Johannes Hahn, la secretaria de Estado de I+D+i, Carmen Vela, el vicepresidente de la Xunta de Galicia, Alfonso Rueda y el consejero de Economía e Industria, Francisco Conde. Todos ellos destacaron el carácter participativo y colaborativo del trabajo desarrollado hasta el momento y que ha contado con la participación de más de 240 agentes del Sistema Gallego de Innovación y llamaron a la implicación de todos los actores implicados para ejecutar estas líneas.
