Amparo Alonso analyzes the impact of AI on Galician business development at the presentation of the school for technology professionals The Key

CITIC researcher Amparo Alonso participated on July 3 in the official presentation of The Key, the new school for technology sector professionals promoted by the Nortempo Group, at an event held in the Ciudad de las TIC. The initiative, supported by the Xunta de Galicia, the Diputación de A Coruña, and the Ayuntamiento de A Coruña, brought together prominent figures from the technology and business sectors.

The event included a round table discussion on the impact of artificial intelligence on business and professional development in Galicia, moderated by Antonio Rodríguez del Corral, president of the Clúster TIC de Galicia. Among the participants, Amparo Alonso, AI researcher at CITIC of UDC, stood out, emphasizing the importance of flexible and updated training for technology sector professionals. “The speed of innovation in AI requires constant adaptation by professionals, as it is a field that moves at great speed, making it a challenge to train the professionals of the future,” Alonso said during her speech.

The school will offer specialized programs such as Generative AI Engineer, Cybersecurity Analyst, and AWS Cloud Architect, aiming to meet the growing demand for qualified talent in the sector.

Javier Martínez, academic director of AI at The Key, emphasized the school’s commitment to academic excellence and innovation, ensuring that the training programs will be delivered with practical and adaptive methodology, in direct collaboration with leading companies in the sector.
