The Galician Research Center for ICT Foundation is a private, non-profit organization whose aim is to contribute to the strengthening, empowerment, growth and improvement of the competitiveness of the Galician ICT sector.
Objectives:
Promotion of excellence in research and technological transfer.
The production, promotion, couseling and dissemination of knowledge in the ICT field.
Training of an expert workforce.
The constitution of the FCITICG in November 2015 responds to an initiative to bring together the main entities of the Galician ICT sector in an institution that connects the capacities of all the agents involved.
MISIÓN
VISIÓN
The mission of the FCITICG is to transfer research results generated by diverse R+D+i projects which are managed for the productive fabric of Galicia, and consequently, for its social fabric.
FCITICG aims to be a leading institution whose goal would be to combine the capabilities of the main public and private entities in the Galician ICT sector, setting up permanent R+D+I links among its members.
PATRONAGE
Patronage is the government body, the representation and administration of the Galician CITIC Foundation, as prescribed in its statutes. There is a mixed patronage which incorporates:
11 companies, mainly from the ICT sector, operating in Galicia.
2 professional colleges of computer engineers in Galicia (CPEIG, CPEITG). The City Council of A Coruña and the University of A Coruña (UDC).
The Galician ICT cluster, which groups together the majority of Galicia’s ICT companies.
