Artificial Intelligence and Traditional Employment: Challenges and Opportunities in the HumanIA Cycle

A Coruña, December 11, 2024.- The HumanIA 2024-2025 training cycle, organized by the Social Council and the Faculty of Humanities of the University of A Coruña (UDC) in collaboration with CITIC (Center for Research in Information and Communication Technologies) at UDC, continues its program with a new talk titled “Artificial Intelligence and the Transformation of Traditional Employment: Challenges and Opportunities.”

This event will take place on December 16th at 5:30 PM in the Cloud Room of CITIC (Elviña Campus) and will feature Virginia Carcedo Illera, a leading figure in social inclusion and labor transformation.

Virginia Carcedo Illera

A law graduate and specialist in executive management, Virginia Carcedo Illera is the Secretary General and Director of Transformation, Excellence, and Equality at the ONCE Foundation, as well as the Secretary General of Inserta Empleo. Her professional career is marked by leading innovative projects that combine technologies such as artificial intelligence with the promotion of inclusive employment.

Among her contributions are initiatives with significant social impact such as Portalento Lattam, and her participation in governing bodies such as the boards of Grupo ILUNION and Servimedia, and the directives of REDI and ICONG. In 2023, she was recognized with the Women in Retail award for inclusion, highlighting her commitment to equal opportunities.

The HumanIA 2024-25 cycle aims to build bridges between the humanities and emerging technologies, analyzing how they impact society and the labor market. This talk is part of an ongoing program, delving into key topics about the future of employment and digital transformation.
