The Centre for Information and Communications Technology Research (CITIC) is an organizational structure of the University of A Coruña created in 2007, and is aligned with the Regulations for the creation of research centers of the University of A Coruña (approved by the Governing Council in its session of 26/11/2020). This new regulation is intended to complement the Regulations of the center, and to detail the process of affiliation/permanence and evaluation of the members of the CITIC.

CITIC distinguishes, according to their professional category or status, between permanent staff, non-permanent staff, trainees and technologists. This information is available in the internal rules of assignment.
