CITIC of the UDC is organizing an event focused on the opportunities for participation in the 2025 calls of Horizon Europe.
A Coruña, 16 de outubro de 2024.- CITIC, the Center for Research in Information and Communication Technologies at the Universidade da Coruña (UDC), in collaboration with the Office for Research Staff Recruitment (OCPI) of UDC and the CITIC Foundation, will host an informative and working session on October 24, 2024, focusing on the opportunities for participation in the 2025 calls of Horizon Europe and synergistic programs.
Titled “Participation in the 2025 Calls of Horizon Europe and Synergistic Programs,” this intensive session is aimed at the entire research and management community of UDC, as well as external entities interested in participating. The main objective of the event is to present the strategic updates of the Horizon Europe program, facilitate networking among attendees, and provide practical guidance for participation in future European calls.
The event will take place on October 24 at the CITIC facilities. Registration is free and open to all interested parties wishing to learn about the new opportunities for European funding, with the additional option for the UDC community to attend online.
Development of the Session
The session will start at 9:15 AM with an institutional welcome from the direction of CITIC and representatives from the OCPI. Following this, the first presentation will focus on reviewing the policies associated with Horizon Europe and analyzing the strategic updates of the program. This segment will cover the new orientations of Horizon Europe, its connection to the international context, and the main participation opportunities in the 2025 calls.
Subsequently, specific sessions dedicated to each of the Horizon Europe clusters will begin. At 10:00 AM, Cluster 4, which pertains to digitalization, industry, and space, will be addressed. After a coffee break and networking session from 11:00 to 11:30 AM, the program will resume with an analysis of Cluster 1, which focuses on health, followed by a review of Cluster 3, centered on civil security for society, until 1:30 PM.
After a brief recess, the session will reconvene at 2:30 PM to study Cluster 6, which encompasses topics such as bioeconomy, natural resources, agriculture, and the environment. At 3:30 PM, one hour will be dedicated to Cluster 2, which focuses on culture, creativity, and inclusive society. Between 4:30 and 5:00 PM, there will be another opportunity for coffee and networking among attendees, before concluding the session with an analysis of Cluster 5, which addresses climate change, energy, and mobility, finishing at 6:00 PM.
The session will be led by an expert in European projects, providing attendees with the opportunity to gain firsthand insights into lessons learned from previous calls, identify key updates for 2025, and establish connections with members of the research community.
