• The director of the singular center of UDC participated in the sectoral panel “ICT and Audiovisual”

The director of CITIC of UDC, Manuel G. Penedo, highlighted the importance of the ICT ecosystem of A Coruña and its key role as a driver of entrepreneurship and the economy, both in the province and throughout Galicia. He did so during the sectoral working panel “ICT and Audiovisual,” which took place within the framework of the Ultreia A Coruña event. The event, organized by the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of A Coruña (CEC) along with other provincial business confederations and with the collaboration of the Xunta de Galicia, is part of a series of ‘revolutionary’ meetings to mobilize the Galician entrepreneurial scene. The goal is to encourage entrepreneurs and ecosystem agents and achieve the purpose of advancing their path by creating synergies and identifying challenges for which to find joint solutions.

The director of CITIC spoke about some of the most relevant projects the Center is currently working on and emphasized their impact both in terms of excellence in research in Galicia and Europe, as well as their transfer to industry and influence in various business areas.

Manuel G. Penedo praised initiatives like Ultreia A Coruña that seek to analyze the state of entrepreneurship through programs and possible lines of work in six strategic sectors for the province. All of this by sharing “knowledge, experience, and essential strategy for the future of R&D,” which allows for the collaboration of technological and research centers with the business fabric.
