CITIC Organizes a Quantum Computing Workshop
- Spaces are limited to a total of 20 participants, so early registration before January 23rd is recommended.
On Thursday, January 30th, from 12:00 to 1:30 PM, the Center for Research in Information and Communication Technologies (CITIC) at the University of A Coruña will host a unique and free event for anyone interested in uncovering the secrets of quantum computing.
During the event, CITIC researcher Diego Andrade Canosa will present a talk titled “Quantum Computing Explained in 10 Minutes”. He will briefly explain the key concepts of quantum computing in a clear and accessible manner. This activity is designed for both curious minds and those interested in diving deeper into the topic, without requiring any prior knowledge.
After the talk, attendees will have the chance to participate in a fun challenge: the QLab Game, inspired by quantum computing and developed by the Galicia Supercomputing Center (CESGA). Participants will compete in two difficulty levels, “Line I” and “Line II,” while learning and enjoying teamwork. Each team will consist of up to 4 members competing against one another, and the winner of each team will receive a prize.
The event is entirely free. Spaces are limited to 20 participants, so registering before January 23rd is strongly recommended to secure a spot. Individual registration can be completed via this link.
The workshop is organized by CITIC in collaboration with CESGA.
