CITIC welcomes a delegation from Huawei to explore joint collaboration opportunities
- This meeting continues previous working sessions with the technology company to investigate potential cooperation avenues.
A Coruña, May 22, 2024.- A delegation from Huawei visited the University of A Coruña for a working meeting to analyze possible collaboration opportunities, focusing on data analysis and sustainable development.
The visit began at the Advanced Services Center (CSA) of the Cidade das TIC (ICT City), where they were welcomed by UDC’s Rector, Ricardo Cao, and the vice-rector for Research and Transfer, Jerónimo Puertas.
After this, the Huawei delegation moved to the Center for Research in Information and Communication Technologies (CITIC). There, they held a meeting with Javier Pereira, deputy director of CITIC; Javier Garrido, Head of Transfer and Innovation, and Cristina Villar and Marta Trueba, from the International Projects Unit of the center. From CITIC’s research team, Amparo Alonso and Luis Castedo attended the meeting.
At CITIC, various technical meetings were held throughout the morning, focusing on possible alliances in the application of data management and transfer techniques in different productive sectors, and the impact of data management on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). After the meeting, the delegation toured CITIC’s facilities.
