The Centre for Research in Information and Communication Technologies (CITIC) at the University of A Coruña hosted a visit from around twenty PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers from the nine European universities that make up the EMERGE alliance.

The visit took place as part of the EMERGE – Transversal Skills Training for PhDs and Postdocs BIP programme, titled “A guideline for an impactful research career”, held this week at the Elviña Campus and organised by UDC as the host institution.

During the visit, participants toured some of CITIC’s most prominent facilities, including the Demonstration Room, robotics laboratories, virtual reality experiences, the Data Processing Centre, and the 3D printing lab. They had the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the centre’s scientific and technological capabilities, as well as the research areas that position CITIC as a benchmark in the field of ICT.

Through this initiative, CITIC strengthens its commitment to the cross-disciplinary training of young researchers and the international reach of its activities, contributing to the development of impactful research careers within a collaborative European environment.
