The offered position will focus on the design, code preparation, and implementation of processing techniques to address the various scientific challenges included in the “Science Platform Cloud Infrastructure for Outsize Usage Scenarios” project. All these challenges are within the field of Astrophysics (ESA Gaia and Euclid missions), on the platform of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC). These challenges are key scientific projects that require the use of large data sets, which will be executed within the project’s framework and platform, serving as test and demonstration cases of its performance (AI and, specifically, deep learning).
