This morning, CITIC welcomed a group of about twenty students from Eduardo Pondal Secondary  School, from Ponteceso. The group, consisting of 3rd and 4th-year secondary school students, is part of the school’s Science Club. 

The visit began with a presentation about CITIC, where attendees were informed about the center’s structure and operations, the research equipment, and given some explanations about the facilities. 

In the Technology Demonstrator, they met NAO, the humanoid robot capable of performing dance or exercise demonstrations, and tried on augmented reality glasses that allow for drawings to interact with real space. 

At the museum dedicated to the history of video games, they played Mortal Kombat on the SEGA Blast City machine from 1996. After this, they visited the 3D Printing Laboratory, where they learned about the operation and different 3D printers available at CITIC. 

Finally, in the Virtual Reality Room, they were shown how the OptiTrack motion capture system works and tried various simulations with the 3D glasses.
