On November 21, researchers from the Center for Research in Information and Communication Technologies (CITIC) of the University of A Coruña participated in the training “Serious Games and Their Transformative Impact.” The session was attended by first and second-year students of the Higher Cycle in 3D Animations, Games, and Interactive Environments at CESUGA.
Researchers Paula de Santos Dorrego, Jorge Rivadulla Brey, and Iago Fernández Garrido shared their experience and knowledge in developing accessible and adapted video games for therapeutic and recreational use by people with functional diversity.
The event was organized into two sessions: a theoretical presentation of the projects carried out and an interactive session where students could experience firsthand the different games developed, as well as the corresponding adaptations.
Additionally, during the event, students were able to learn about some of the challenges developed in various editions of Inclusive Talents, such as the unicorn created by students from IES Ramón Menéndez Pidal-Zalaeta.
