A Coruña, July 17, 2024.- The UDC CITIC researcher, Nieves R. Brisaboa, was in charge of delivering the inaugural lecture of the XVII Summer Course on Linguistic Dynamization, organized by the University of A Coruña (UDC), with the support of the Language General Secretariat of the Xunta de Galicia regional government, and the City Council of Carballo, in which specialists will analyze the use of the Galician language through social networks and its role as a channel for dissemination and popularization.

“The impact of new technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) in our society” was the title of Nieves Brisaboa’s lecture, at the beginning of a course that seeks to analyze and design strategies and actions to value and increase the use and visibility of Galician language in social networks, detect and study problems and existing preconceptions around the use of the Galician language, and value the language and own culture as a resource of interest for activities and projects in social networks.
