The Center for Research in Information and Communication Technologies of the University of A Coruña received two groups of 4th-year ESO students from IES David Buján of A Coruña on Wednesday, January 15th.

The students had the opportunity to learn about the center’s capabilities during a tour that highlighted its advanced facilities and projects. During the visits, the students started at the Technological Demonstrator, where they learned about innovative solutions such as virtual and augmented reality simulators, as well as robotics demonstrations. They also accessed the Data Processing Center (CPD) and the laboratories, where processes like 3D printing and other cutting-edge developments were explained. In the Robotics Laboratory, they were able to handle the Unitree Go 1 robot dog and the RB-Summit from Robotnik, in addition to learning about the different uses of these two technological developments.

This educational experience aims to inspire scientific and technological vocations, bringing young people closer to the challenges and opportunities offered by research in this field.

CITIC reaffirms its commitment to dissemination and the promotion of technological vocations, especially through activities that integrate students from different educational levels and promote interest in technology and innovation.
