A Coruña, 21 November 2025. The Talentos Inclusivos programme of the University of A Coruña has received the regional IPfest Knowledge Transfer Award in the “conCIENCIA” category, which recognises initiatives with the greatest social impact in Spain. The awards ceremony took place on Thursday, 20 November, at the Mar de Vigo Auditorium, attended by representatives of the programme and of the UDC Knowledge Transfer Office.
“This recognition adds to an increasingly long list of distinctions that validate the programme’s approach. For CITIC, Talentos Inclusivos represents a way of doing science with purpose, connecting research with society and generating real solutions for those who need them most. This award strengthens our commitment to responsible, collaborative and inclusive innovation,” stated the programme’s organisers.
The conCIENCIA category highlights projects that make a significant contribution to social progress through innovation, outreach and knowledge transfer. The award received by Talentos Inclusivos underscores its commitment to inclusion, the creation of opportunities and the generation of real impact within the community.
At the same ceremony, the UDC spin-off PhotoILike—a start-up specialising in analysing the visual appeal of real-estate images using artificial intelligence—received the ScaleUp Transfer Award, which recognises scalability potential and technological innovation with economic impact.
The fourth edition of the IPfest Awards was held simultaneously in 17 Spanish cities, all connected online and broadcast on the web, mobile devices and television. This coordinated approach reinforces the collaborative spirit of the event and its vision of sharing knowledge through a distributed network.
About Talentos Inclusivos
Talentos Inclusivos is a CITIC-led project developed throughout the school year with the support of FECYT (Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology). Its aim is to inspire STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) vocations among young people and raise awareness of disability through collaborative teams working on technological challenges proposed by people with cerebral palsy.
Through this initiative, secondary and upper-secondary students from various schools in Galicia must develop technological solutions to challenges proposed by users of ASPACE Coruña, Amencer-ASPACE, APAMP and the Spanish Red Cross in A Coruña.
