The Center for Research in Information and Communication Technologies (CITIC) at the University of A Coruña (UDC) took part in the 11th edition of Maker Faire Galicia, held this past weekend in Santiago de Compostela. As part of the event, CITIC organized a hands-on workshop focused on designing and customizing adaptive video game controllers, within the framework of the Talentos Inclusivos (Inclusive Talents) project.
During the workshop, participants had the opportunity to design and build their own personalized controllers using a variety of materials, and test their creations with a selection of video games developed on the Scratch platform. Some of these games were created by students involved in the Talentos Inclusivos project, adding an educational and inclusive dimension to the experience.
The workshop was led by CITIC members Javier Pereira Loureiro, Paula de Santos Dorrego, and Irene Brage Vázquez.
This activity was part of a broader program featuring talks, exhibitions, workshops, and interactive proposals—all centered around social, educational, artistic, and technological innovation.
