CITIC organises a key workshop on funding opportunities in the 2026 Horizon Europe calls

25/11/2025 - CITIC

The Centre for Research in Information and Communication Technologies (CITIC) of the University of A Coruña (UDC) will hold an information and working session on 27 November 2025 focused on participation opportunities in the 2026 Horizon Europe calls and in synergistic programmes.

Under the title “Participation in the 2026 Horizon Europe Calls and Synergistic Programmes”, this intensive session is aimed at the entire UDC research and management community, as well as interested external organisations. The main objective of the workshop is to present the strategic updates of the Horizon Europe programme, facilitate networking among attendees, and provide practical guidance for participation in future European calls.

The event will take place on 27 November at CITIC’s facilities. Registration is free of charge and open to all those interested in learning about the new European funding opportunities, with the option to attend either online or in person.

Development of the session

The programme will begin at 9:15 with an institutional welcome by CITIC’s management team. This will be followed by presentations covering the thematic Clusters of Horizon Europe.

The first morning block will review the funding opportunities included in Cluster 1, related to Health; Cluster 2, focused on Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society; and Cluster 3, dedicated to Civil Security for Society.

After a coffee break and networking session, the programme will resume with an analysis of Cluster 4, covering topics related to Digital, Industry and Space. This will be followed by an overview of Cluster 5, which includes Climate, Energy and Mobility. The morning will conclude with a review of opportunities within Cluster 6, related to Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment. A Q&A session will follow.

The workshop will continue at 16:00 with a session specifically dedicated to early-career researchers.

The session will be led by Marina Martínez, an expert in European projects and National Contact Point, offering participants the chance to learn first-hand the lessons from previous calls, identify key novelties for 2026, and establish connections with members of the research community.
