A Coruña, June 27, 2025. –The city of Porto (Portugal) hosted on June 25 and 26 the second in-person transnational meeting of the European Erasmus+ EDIGIT project (European Digital Inclusive Guide for Innovative Teaching), in which the Research Center in Information and Communication Technologies (CITIC) of the Universidade da Coruña participates through its Talentos Inclusivos program. The first meeting took place earlier this year at the UDC’s own ICT center, which is part of the Xunta de Galicia’s CIGUS Network.

Representing CITIC at the Portugal meeting were Manuel G. Penedo, director of the center; Javier Pereira, deputy director and principal investigator of the Talentos Inclusivos project; and Irene Brage, project manager of the program. Joining CITIC’s delegation was also teacher Marta López from IES Poeta Díaz Castro, one of the educational centers involved in the last two editions of the Talentos Inclusivos program.

The main goal of the meeting in Porto was to present the final version of the methodological and pedagogical guide, along with the content index that will guide the development of the project’s training modules. During the sessions, responsibilities for developing these modules were assigned among the partners.

The meeting was organized by EPES, the Portuguese consortium partner, who, besides hosting, presented Work Package 3 (WP3) focused on creating training materials. Across the two days, numerous collaborative activities were carried out, including workshops and institutional visits around Porto.

The meeting began with an overview of the project and the presentation of national focus group results, followed by sessions on project management, communication, evaluation, and future planning.

EDIGIT is an initiative promoting educational inclusion through innovative digital methodologies, involving academic institutions, research centers, and schools from various European countries.

The project consortium, led by CITIC, includes six other institutions from five different countries: Academia José Moreira da Silva (Portugal), Kezenfogva Osszefogas A Foyatekosokert Alapitvany – Hand in Hand Foundation (Hungary), Gymnázium Jiřího Gutha-Jarkovského (Czech Republic), ASPACE Coruña (Spain), Polo Europeo della Conoscenza – IC Bosco Chiesanuova (Italy), and On Projects Advising SL (Spain)..

As the project coordinator in Spain, CITIC highlights the importance of this international collaboration to create educational resources that foster greater inclusion and equity in digital education. The Talentos Inclusivos project is committed to offering high-quality training that not only improves teachers’ digital skills but also makes STEM teaching an accessible and inclusive experience for all.

About Talentos Inclusivos
