José Luis Calvo Rolle discussed the role of technical education in electric mobility at the All Electric Society international summit
José Luis Calvo Rolle, researcher at the CITIC of the University of A Coruña, recently participated as a representative of the EduNet educational network in a roundtable titled “The Role of Technical Education in Electric Mobility in Academic Institutions,” held at the international summit “All Electric Society.” This event brought together experts to discuss the importance of technical education in the transition to electric mobility and its impact on the development of smart cities.
The roundtable, moderated by Joaquín González from the University of Oviedo, featured prominent academics from universities within the EduNet network. They addressed key topics such as renewable energy, electric energy conversion and storage, and the development of smart infrastructure. Alongside Calvo Rolle were Sergio García-Nieto from the Polytechnic University of Valencia and Ramy Georgious and Francisco Linera from the University of Oviedo.
EduNet, which the University of A Coruña joined in 2023, is promoted and funded by Phoenix Contact with the goal of supporting the digitalization and optimization of business processes through automation and smart solutions. During the event, participants emphasized the importance of collaboration between academic institutions and industry to train future professionals who can drive advancements in electric mobility and energy management in an increasingly digital world.
