CITIC of UDC received this Friday the visit of the Secretary of State for Youth and Childhood, Rubén Pérez Correa, who was able to learn firsthand about innovative projects and programs promoted by the center.

CITIC researcher Francisco Bellas will speak on June 4 about “Education in the era of Artificial Intelligence: let’s go slowly” in the II Scientific Culture Cycle promoted by the Xunta de Galicia.

On April 9, 10, and 11, the first IA & Hospitality congress will be held in A Coruña, a space where the present and future relationship between AI and tourism will be analyzed, with the participation of researcher Alejandro Pazos.

Today, the 2024 Ordinary Assembly of CITIC took place in the Cloud Room. During the assembly, the center’s director, Manuel F. González Penedo, presented the main results and actions carried out over the past year.

The Spanish Computer Science Olympiad 2025 will be held next year at the Faculty of Computer Science of the University of A Coruña (FIC), as announced this weekend during the XXVIII edition of this competition.

The Center for Research in Information Technologies (CITIC) of UDC hosted the TalentoCibeR event and the CITIC Cyber Competition (C3TF) this Thursday, in which 157 students from all over Spain participated, divided into 40 teams that competed against each other at CITIC facilities, from atlanTTic in Vigo, and online.

On Wednesday morning, students of the Bachelor’s Degree in Artificial Intelligence from the Universidade da Coruña visited CITIC.

Amparo Alonso, CITIC researcher and professor of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at the UDC, officially joined the Real Academia de Ciencias Exactas, Físicas y Naturales (RAC) this past March 6th.

This is a project focused on monitoring and controlling the thermal/mineromedicinal water of spas and predicting contaminants, based on the real-time digitization of fundamental parameters of mineromedicinal water and continuous analysis of these data by an AI-based system.
