The CITIC UDC is hosting two dynamic workshops focused on tackling real-world cybersecurity challenges in a practical way. These workshops include a Capture the Flag (CTF) competition, designed to test participants’ skills in various areas of cybersecurity and secure telecommunications. Organized by the consulting firm Sherpa Tribe as part of the INCIBE Emprende program, the event will take place on March 25th and 26th, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, in the Cloud Room of the CITIC Centre at the Universidade da Coruña.

The Capture the Flag CITIC is a cybersecurity event that combines competition, practical learning and specialized mentoring, aimed at students, researchers, and anyone interested in getting started or deepening their knowledge of cybersecurity challenges. The CTF offers a learning experience adapted to different levels of expertise.

The event includes hands-on challenges organized by teams in key areas of the sector, such as information analysis and OSINT, digital forensics, cryptography, web security, system hardening, basic reverse engineering, and controlled vulnerability exploitation. Each challenge is tailored to the skill level of the participants and takes place on the program’s own platform, with continuous support from mentors and advisors who guide the teams throughout the competition.

In addition, attendees will be able to participate in short talks by professionals, connecting the challenges to the realities of the sector and available career paths. All participants will receive a certificate of participation signed by INCIBE, recognizing their involvement and performance in the event.

Registration is individual and free, with a maximum of 40 participants assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. The CTF requires for participants to have personal laptop of their own available. To register, please visit the following link: Capture The Flag CITIC Registration.

This event represents a unique opportunity to develop practical cybersecurity skills, work as a team, and learn firsthand about career opportunities in the sector.
