CITIC researcher Adriana Dapena Janeiro delivered a talk titled «Applications of Artificial Intelligence to Human-Machine Interfaces» at IES Miraflores de Oleiros, aimed at students in their fourth year of ESO and first year of Bachillerato. The event was divided into two training sessions: the first was attended by fourth-year students enrolled in Artificial Intelligence and Digitalization, while the second session was tailored to students from the scientific-technical track in the ICT subject of Bachillerato.
During the session, students explored how generative AI is revolutionizing interactions between people and digital devices, from computers to mobile phones. Additionally, the researcher provided a critical perspective on this technology, highlighting both its benefits and the challenges it presents.
One of the most cutting-edge topics covered was the use of artificial intelligence in brain-signal-based interfaces, a technology with enormous potential to transform the future of human-computer interaction.
This initiative reinforces CITIC’s commitment to scientific outreach, bringing young people closer to the technological advances that will shape the future of society.
