The AddVenture program takes AI into entrepreneurship
- The CITIC hosted the first workshops of this initiative promoted by the Social Councils of the participating universities to support the development of new innovative projects.
A Coruña, March 13th, 2026
The Information and Communication Technologies Research Center (CITIC) at the Universidade da Coruña recently hosted workshops for the AddVenture entrepreneurship program, a hands-on activity organized by the Social Councils of the Universidade da Coruña and the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela with the aim of helping participants transform their business ideas into functional prototypes using artificial intelligence and natural language processing.
The workshops, which began last Wednesday on the 11th of March, saw widespread participation and marked the start of this new iteration of the AddVenture program. During two intensive sessions, participants worked directly on their own project ideas to build a first functional version, whether a website, a simple application, or a demonstration of the product they wish to develop.
On the second day, Thursday the 12th, participants continued to develop their projects, experimenting with different artificial intelligence tools, refining their proposals, and developing initial prototypes that allowed them to showcase, test, and improve their ideas. One of the main objectives of this training is to demonstrate that it is possible to move from an initial idea for a prototype without prior programming experience, thanks to the use of tools based on generative AI and natural language interaction.
The training was led by Daniel Alías and Álvaro Sánchez, experts in generative AI, who guided the participants throughout the entire process of creating and validating their proposals.
This workshop is part of the AddVenture program, an initiative promoted by the Social Councils of the Universidade da Coruña and the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela to foster university entrepreneurship and support the development of new, innovative projects.
