A Coruña, April 14th, 2026

From tomorrow until next Friday, 17th April, the UDC’s Faculty of Computer Science is hosting the 7th edition of the FIC Internship and Employment Fair (FEPE FIC), a meeting place for the faculty’s undergraduate and postgraduate students and the Galician and national technology ecosystem.

The event, organised by the FIC in collaboration with the Universidade da Coruña Foundation and the Centre for Research in Information and Communication Technologies (CITIC), aims to build bridges between university talent and leading companies in the ICT sector. Specifically, 32 companies will be present at this year’s event.

The programme will begin tomorrow, Wednesday 15th April, at 9.30 AM, with the opening ceremony led by the Vice-Rector for Students and Employability, María José Lombardía, and the Dean of the Faculty, Mariano Cabrero, followed by a brief presentation by each of the participating companies. This will be followed by workshops and activities at the various stands, following a similar format across the fair’s three sessions: https://fepe.fic.udc.es/#programa

On the closing session, Friday 17th, the award ceremony for the 11th Prize for the best applied undergraduate thesis from the FIC will take place, recognising the best project carried out by students with direct application in the field of technology. There are four nominations for this award, with the UDC ALDABA WIB Chair: Women, ICT & Business, the Professional Association of Technical Computer Engineering of Galicia and the Digital Innovation Hub Industrial of Galicia all participating.

Elena Hernández, Vice-Dean for Institutional Relations at the FIC, emphasises that “year after year, this Fair is establishing itself as an essential meeting point between our students’ talent and the leading companies in the ICT sector. This is an event that not only opens the door to future career opportunities, but also reflects the faculty’s commitment to quality public education and innovation, employment and the promotion of technology in our community”.
