Taller sobre el manejo del sistema de captura de movimiento Optitrack en el CITIC
CITIC of UDC is organizing an in-person workshop on the use of the advanced Optitrack motion capture system, which will be taught by Professor José Ángel López Campos, a prominent specialist from the Centro de Investigacións Tecnolóxicas (CINTECX).
The workshop will take place on July 23, 2024, in the Virtual Reality and Motion Laboratory at CITIC, in an in-person format, and will be held from 11:00 to 14:00 and from 15:00 to 17:30.
The main objective of the workshop is to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to handle and make the most of the Optitrack motion capture system, a unique infrastructure at CITIC. The laboratory’s Optitrack system features 8 cameras, a data capture unit, and a controlled light environment, allowing for precise capture of movements of both rigid objects and human bodies.
During the workshop, the Motive software with the Body license will be used, and participants will have the opportunity to follow a complete workflow example of a data acquisition and processing process that will include: basic features of the motion capture system, selection of the capture model, preparation for capture, including suit and marker placement, motion capture, data preprocessing, data export to OpenSIM, and basic preprocessing and analysis of the biomechanical model.
