The INDITEX-UDC Chair in AI on Green Algorithms and CITIC continue to expand their international collaboration, this time in Canada, through a visit to the Centre by Ozgur Turetken, Head of Research at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU).
Alexia Díaz, from CITIC’s International Projects Department, and Xosé Manuel García, a member of the INDITEX-UDC Chair, had the opportunity to outline CITIC’s potential and capabilities in AI applied to the fields of finance and business, technological solutions, cybersecurity, sustainability and solutions aimed at social impact.
During the meeting, possible avenues for cooperation with the Canadian centre were explored, particularly within the framework of the Horizon Europe programme, of which Canada is a partner and which constitutes the main source of funding for R&D&I in the European Union. Furthermore, the complementarity of the centres’ research lines and objectives allowed for the identification of common ground and progress on various collaboration opportunities aimed at strengthening the institutional relationship and bilateral cooperation between both entities.
