- The course about “Use of generative artificial intelligence for lawyers”, taught this week, is framed within the agreement between the CITIC Foundation of Galicia and the ICACOR
A Coruña, February 26th, 2026
The Illustrious Provincial Bar Association of A Coruña and the CITIC Foundation have carried out this week the course “Use of generative AI for lawyers” with the aim of bringing the most advanced tools of artificial intelligence applied to legal practice closer to legal professionals.
The course was provided by the researcher at the CITIC of the UDC, centre that’s part of the CIGUS Network of the Galician Regional Government, Carlos J. Escudero Cascón, and is part of the collaboration agreement signed between both institutions to strengthen the bonds between the legal and technological sectors, fostering research, development and innovation in the field of information and communication technologies.
Generative artificial intelligence, capable of creating texts, documents or content automatically, is transforming the way in which lawyers manage information and write up documents, making the analysis of great data clusters easier and optimising daily tasks. This course has allowed those who assisted to get to know better these tools, learn how to use them in an efficient and responsible manner, understand their risks and ethical aspects and explore how to improve productivity without compromising professional criteria.
Over the two sessions of training, the foundations of generative AI, the available tools, starting apps on the legal fields, advanced prompting techniques, practical cases and legal, ethical and cybersecurity considerations were treated; all of it rounded up with a summary of the main teachings and challenges that this technology brings to the legal profession.
With this initiative, the ICACOR and the CITIC Foundation reinforce their commitment to the digital transformation and technological innovation in Galicia, offering lawyers the necessary competences to face present and future challenges in a constantly evolving sector.
