The CITIC of UDC drives international cooperation in research and innovation with the Week of Initiatives and International Projects
- The II Week of Initiatives and International Projects (WIIPRO), taking place between 26 and 30 January, will feature contributions from universities, research centres and technology companies promoting international collaboration.
A Coruña, 26 January 2026.-The CITIC of the Universidade da Coruña, a centre that is part of the Xunta de Galicia’s CIGUS Network, is hosting from today, Monday 26, until Friday, the second edition of WIIPRO – Week of Initiatives and International Projects, consolidating this event as a key space for the creation of international synergies in the field of research and innovation.
Throughout the week, the centre will welcome representatives from prestigious international entities such as AffectLog (France), LINKS Foundation (Italy), CITC Eurarfid (France), Mondragon Unibertsitatea, CCG/ZGDV Institute and GECAD – Polytechnic of Porto, who will take part alongside CITIC researchers and collaborators in various working and networking activities. The programme will also include space to gain deeper insight into unique projects funded with European resources, among which 3i-ICT (a Marie Curie pre-doc coordinated by CITIC) and FLOTALIA (Intelligent Fleet Optimisation, with Alia Technologies and IDIMPA, in collaboration with CITIC researcher Salvador Naya Fernández) stand out.
The WIIPRO Week’s main objective is to lay the foundations for future international collaborations and projects, fostering knowledge exchange and the identification of common strategic lines. The meetings and dynamics developed during the week will make it possible to move forward in the preparation of joint proposals in the coming months.
With initiatives such as the WIIPRO Week, CITIC reaffirms its commitment to the internationalisation of research and to strengthening its European and international cooperation network.
