The Centre for Research in Information and Communication Technologies (CITIC) at the University of A Coruña hosted a visit from around twenty PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers from the nine European universities that make up the EMERGE alliance.

The Centre for Research in Information and Communication Technologies at the University of A Coruña has been admitted as an institutional member of the Women in Digital Forum, a key initiative promoted by the European Union under the Digital Europe programme.

CITIC at the University of A Coruña is advancing the design of high-impact technological solutions with a new optimization model for the shipbuilding industry, developed in collaboration with CITENI (Research Centre for Naval and Industrial Technologies).

CITIC will develop two lines of research in Artificial Intelligence, focused on the energy efficiency of algorithms and the resolution of social and environmental challenges.

The visit aims to strengthen the collaboration between CITIC and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), a strategic alliance that has already enabled the arrival of four MIT students to the Galician research center.

José Vázquez Naya, cybersecurity researcher at CITIC and member of the RNASA-IMEDIR group, represented the centre at these meetings held in Brussels and organised by the European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO).
