A investigadora do CITIC Naomi Diz, premio ó mellor póster na XIX Conferencia Española e VII Encontro Iberoamericano de Biometría 2023
O traballo recoñecido modeliza e predí a ocupación de camas na UCI durante a pandemia COVID-19

A estudante de doutoramento do grupo de investigación MODES do CITIC da UDC, Naomi Diz Rosales, acaba de ser galardoada co Premio ao mellor póster realizado por unha investigadora nova no transcurso da XIX Conferencia Española e VIII Encontro Iberoamericano de Biometría (CEB-EIB 2023).
O traballo presentado enmárcase no contexto da crise sanitaria provocada pola COVID 19 e consiste en modelizar e predicir a ocupación de camas na UCI durante a pandemia utilizando metodoloxía estatística de modelos mixtos e áreas pequenas. O estudo forma parte da súa tese doutoral, dirixida por Domingo Morales da Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche, e por María José Lombardía do CITIC da UDC.
