The Research Center in Information and Communication Technologies (CITIC) of the University of A Coruña (UDC) took part this past Saturday, May 10, in a new edition of Street Science Day, held in Santa Margarita Park in A Coruña.

The event highlighted that artificial intelligence, beyond its technical potential, represents an educational and healthcare revolution in full expansion.

The researcher at CITIC, University of A Coruña, Alejandro Pazos took part in the conference “Precision Personalized Medicine: Dialogue Between Politicians and Scientists”, organized by the Roche Institute Foundation.

This Saturday, May 10, the CITIC of the UDC will take part in the “Día da Ciencia na Rúa,” offering a full-day program of activities and workshops. The ICT center will be located at booth number 60.

An adapted cup and an ergonomic spoon, created by first-year students, stand out for their contribution to accessibility for people with functional diversity.

On May 6, first-year Occupational Therapy students will present proposals to improve the daily lives of people with functional diversity.

Its goal is to modernize and digitalize the manufacturing of large components, creating smarter, more connected, and autonomous production centers capable of adapting in real time to any change or unforeseen event.

The free, online event will take place on May 7 at 11:00 a.m. (CEST).

Last week, CITIC hosted the fourth joint meeting of the European project HYBRIDS (Fostering Hybrid Human-Artificial Intelligence), an initiative that promotes an innovative and multidisciplinary approach in the field of hybrid artificial intelligence.

It will take place on April 23, 24, and 25, and will include, on the final day, the presentation of the 10th Award for the Best Applied Bachelor’s Thesis (TFG) at FIC for the 2023/2024 academic year.

The Ramón Areces Foundation has launched the First Edition of the Professors of Excellence program, an initiative aimed at promoting research excellence and international scientific collaboration. This inaugural edition featured the participation of CITIC researcher Amparo Alonso.
